Self confidence is the state of mind characterize(d) by one’s reliance on himself or herself. It is the feeling of self –sufficiency and the existence of complete trust in oneself. Self confidence has to do with believing in yourself and free from any form of self-doubt or self-distrust.

In other words, in achieving success in life, the need for self confidence is need(ed).

The overwhelming feeling of excelling in any area of life cannot be overemphasize(d), if a person lacks confidence in whatever he or she is doing, there is bound to be failure.

SIMPLE STEPS IN ACHIEVING SELF-CONFIDENCE

In achieving self confidence, one has to closely observe and carefully reflect over the four (4) simple steps in building up of self confidence;

  • ACT

In the first step “ act’’, involves you pretending to be strong while deep inside of you, you know that they are all but a lie.

In the acting, you need to put up a great and convincing act , making people believe that you have become the main boss in town but in the process of the act, you gradually build up your self confidence one step at a time.

Take for instance; most people indulge in taking of hard drugs in order to make them feel highly of themselves. But when the hard drug fades away, it leaves them with an extreme feeling of emptiness.

Definitely, the act you put up everyday gets to be part and parcel of who you truly are. The act burns down any form of fear that you once felt within yourself.

  • BEING SOCIAL:

Man as we all know is a social animal, that loves to interact and share ideas with fellow humans.

Being a social type, have greater impact on a man’s life because you cannot expect an indoor person to boldly present a speech in front of a very large crowd.

An indoor person would lack the confidence in facing the crowd and would think so low of himself around his or her mates.

The social interaction between peer groups, creates an avenue for boosting of internal self confidence. Also, leading in a conversation helps in improving low self esteem.

  • Listening to great motivational speakers:

Listening to the words of most prominent motivational impose positive effect, making a person feeling phenomenal and indestructible in nature.

The voice of a motivational picks you from the path of failure, self-doubt and leads you to the path of self fulfilment (self confidence).

Just as the human body needs food to function properly, so does it apply to the human mind which needs positive thoughts to fill them in.

  • Silence the little voice:

Silencing the little voice that brings about self doubt, letting you feel like a failure. Letting go of the notion “I can’t” and develop the spirit of “I can do’’.

Be inform(ed), that nothing would be given to you without you taking the risk.

The only difference between successful people and unsuccessful people, is their ability of recognizing what they need to succeed and facing the risk head to head.
